Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s Division of Forestry is now accepting orders for native tree seedlings through March 15, 2026, or while supplies last.
The East Tennessee Nursery is offering more than two dozen species of trees and shrubs grown from seed within 50 miles of Tennessee’s borders, ensuring they thrive in the state’s climate. Officials say planting native species is key to maintaining healthy, resilient forests.
The nursery grows millions of seedlings each year for conservation and reforestation projects. Several cost-share programs are available to help landowners, with details at tn.gov/agriculture/forests. Orders may be placed online at planttnTrees.org
