    Tennessee Highway Patrol Urges Drivers to Stay Alert in School Zones

    GILES COUNTY, Tenn. - As the new school year begins, the Tennessee Highway Patrol is reminding drivers to take extra care in school zones.

    In 2024, there were 799 crashes in Tennessee school zones, an alarming number that highlights the need for safer driving habits around schools.

    Drivers are urged to slow down, stay alert, and avoid distractions. School zones should always be treated as safe zones.
