GILES COUNTY, Tenn. — Beloved local singer-songwriter Worley Max McKinney is set to release his brand-new album, The Land of Milk and Honey: Songs and Memories from Giles County, Tennessee, during a special Songwriter Event on Tuesday, November 4, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Giles County Public Library in Pulaski.

This heartfelt collection of 16 original songs captures the stories, landscapes, and emotions of McKinney’s home county, celebrating the place where he was born, raised, and continues to live today on his farm in the Beech Hill/Frankewing area. The project, inspired by McKinney’s experience headlining a Writer’s Night in Knoxville, led him to realize how deeply his songwriting was rooted in Giles County’s people and places.

“While preparing that show, I noticed how many of my songs were about home,” McKinney reflected. The new album brings together those reflections, giving listeners a musical journey through Giles County’s past and present.

The free community event will include performances of several songs from the new album and a chance to meet the artist. CDs will be available for purchase for $10.

Everyone is invited to attend and experience the sound and spirit of Giles County through the voice of one of its own.
