Mr. Anthony Ray Harney age 68, was born on November 2, 1957 in Pulaski, TN. He departed this life on September 7, 2026 at his home. He attended Elkton High School and graduated in 1976. He later joined the Army in 1977. After serving in the Army he worked for the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his father Isaiah Harney, mother Mae Dorothy Bass Harney, Stepmother, Viney Wilson Harney, Sister, Vernessia Harney and brother, Immanuel Harney.
He is survived by two sons, Lamar Gilbert and Christopher (Majesta)
Harney; one daughter, Renata Hayes; four sisters, Shelia Wilson of Ardmore, TN, Stephanie (Eric) Cannon of Elkton, TN, Regenia Harney of Elkton, TN and Natalie (Brandon) Davis of Ardmore; three brothers, Larry (Margie) Bass of Prospect, TN, Alfred Harney of Pulaski, TN, Kelsey Harney of Ardmore, TN; one special niece, Tonya (Clay) Richardson; 15 grandkids, 2 great grandkids; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral service for Anthony Ray Harney will be held on Friday,
September 18, 2026 beginning with the visitation at 10am and the 11am service immediately following at the Greater Richland Creek MB Association (Central Building) 1095 Bledsoe Road, Pulaski, TN.
Interment will be in Old Union Hill Cemetery in Elkton.
