Barbara Etta McKissack Simington

Barbara Etta Mckissack Simington of Pulaski age 81 was born to the union of Edward Mckissack and Ellen Mckissack on October 31, 1944. She entered an eternal rest on January 27, 2026 surrounded by family and friends. Barbara was baptized in 1973. She retired from the Fito Lay–Pulaski Plant after working there for 25 years. After retirement, she enjoyed her quiet time and working in the yard with her flowers.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father Edward Mckissack, mother Ellen Mckissack, sisters Helen Mckissack, Odessa Mckissack Hobson, Julia Mae Mckissack and nephew Leroy Hobson. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Elizabeth Mckissack, nieces and nephews Charles Hobson, Dorothy Hobson Beasley, Glen Hobson, Terry Hobson, Eric Hobson, Vanessa Hobson, Evelyn Hobson, Lee Townsend Jr and Lolita Jones, and a host of great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, 
great-great nephews, other relatives and friends.

The graveside service for Barbara Etta Mckissack Simington will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 11am in Maplewood Cemetery, 500 Ballentine Street, Pulaski, Tennessee.
