Betsy Anne Phelps of Pulaski, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at her residence
surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 27, 1976, and was 50 years old.
Betsy had a deep love and passion for teaching. She began her teaching career in Murfreesboro before moving
closer to her family and continuing her career with Lawrence County schools. She eventually made Southside
Elementary School in Pulaski, her permanent home, where she dedicated many years teaching. Betsy had a special
and kind heart for children who needed a little extra encouragement, patience, and love. She believed in her
students and celebrated every accomplishment, both big and small. Her students were a blessing to her.
Above all else, Betsy was a devoted wife to her husband, Chris and a loving mother to her two children John
Benson, age 14 and Hunter Anne, age 9. Her children were her number one priority and the greatest blessing of
her life. She dedicated herself whole heartedly to being the best mother she could be always putting their needs,
happiness, and dreams before her own. Betsy treasured every moment with John Benson and Hunter Anne. Her
favorite memories were made simply being there for them and found immeasurable joy in being their mother. She
always looked forward to the vacations they took camping and to the beach. The love Betsy poured into John
Benson and Hunter Anne will remain a part of them forever, and her greatest legacy will be the love she gave her
    children.
