Carolyn June Graves Sandlin

Carolyn June Graves Sandlin went to be with our Lord on February 4, 2026 at the age of 90. She was the daughter of the late O. C. (Dad) and Charlotte Frances Smith Graves. She was the wife of a farmer (Ludon Allen Sandlin) who preceded her in death. June was a legal secretary for Harwell and Boston Law Firm, and secretary of Highland Park Baptist Church. One of her most significant accomplishments was directing the Community Day Care at Highland Park Baptist Church for almost 20 years. She was a founding member of Highland Park, a Sunday School teacher for over 60 years, and played the piano and organ there. She spent her life in service to our Lord. Many lives were touched as she witnessed to someone every day of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ludon Allen Sandlin.

She is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Graves Eells and Shirley Jean Graves both of Murfreesboro; three children, Dawn Sandlin Brown, David (Meredith) Sandlin, and Christi (Myron) Robbins of Leoma; seven grandchildren, Mason Robbins and Evan (Madde) Robbins, both of Leoma, Spencer (Marshia) Robbins and Lucas Sandlin, both of Lawrenceburg, Alyssa (Christian) Harrison of Columbia, Stephanie Brown (Hayden Price) of Arvada, CO, and Jeremiah (Kate) Brown of Richmond, VA; and five great grandchildren, Darcie Robbins, Houston and Hayes Robbins, Henry Brown, Milania Robbins, and Marquis Hammons.

Visitation will be held at Highland Park Baptist Church on Sunday, February 8th, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Brother Ricky Cotton will be officiating. 

Interment will be held privately at Eagle Factory Cemetery. The family requests that friends and family gather for food and fellowship at June’s home following the service.
