Dr Roger Morris Young

Dr. Roger Morris Young of Pulaski passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pulaski, TN on February 13, 1948, and was 78 years old.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Brenda Hosay Young of Pulaski, TN; sons, Clay (Alison) Young of Pulaski, TN and Chris (Meredith) Young of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Katie (Keith) Rogers of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Luke Brownlow, Nolan Brownlow, and Emery Young; brother, Roy (Kathy) Young of Pulaski, TN; brother-in-law, Jimmy (Scarlett) Hosay of Pulaski, TN; sister-in-law, Janet Hosay of Pulaski, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. Young and Juanita Hardison Young.

A Pulaski native, Roger attended Middle Tennessee State University before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry. He went on to practice dentistry in Ardmore, TN for 34 years, where he was known for his compassionate care, gentle spirit, and lasting relationships with his patients. Roger was also a proud veteran of the United States Army.

Roger was an avid fisherman who loved spending time on the water with family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and memories that will be cherished for years to come. He was a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and a caring neighbor who never met a stranger.

A private family graveside service will be held.
