Genene Gaines Ulrich

Genene Gaines Ulrich, age 86 of Pulaski, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday January 20, 2026.
Genene Ulrich was born in Pulaski, TN on March 4, 1939 to Herman Holland and Lillian Burns Taylor Gaines. She was a secretary for Lee-Mar Shirt Factory and a member of Friendship Methodist Church. Genene found happiness in the simple things in life such as flower gardening and watching her favorite baseball team, The Atlanta Braves.

She is preceded in death by her parents Herman and Lillian Gaines; husband of 12 years Henry Dennis Ulrich; son William Jeffrey Wiser; sisters Barbara Gaines Greene and Sandra Gaines Minatra.

Visitation will be held from 10am-1pm on Wednesday January 28, 2026 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with Funeral Service following at 1pm.

Interment will be in Giles Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that Memorial Contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Compassus Hospice Care and special caregiver Michayla.
 

Genene is survived by her son Mike Wiser of Pulaski; daughter Leigh Ann Wiser Abernathy of Pulaski; granddaughters Allison Abernathy (Steven Green), Erin Abernathy, Ashley Abernathy; bonus granddaughter Brooklyn Long; great grandson Collin Green; sister Judy Gaines Looney (Jerry) of Beech Hill; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
