Glen Dolan "Jack" Mitchell, age 86, of Cornersville, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, at NHC in Lawrenceburg.
He was born March 30th, 1939, in Ardmore, Alabama to the late Jim and Effie Reyer Mitchell. He was a retired truck driver for Air Products and Chemicals in Decatur, Alabama and was a member of Hickory Heights Church of Christ. He enjoyed Alabama football, bluegrass music, and working his mules.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jeanette Malone Mitchell.
He is survived by his three sons, Jeff (Connie) Barnett of Minor Hill, Paul (Tammie) Mitchell of Cornersville, and James "Jimbo" (Malinda) Mitchell of Beech Hill; six grandchildren, Sara (Levi) Weigel, Clayton Mitchell, Samuel Mitchell, Lorna Mitchell, Emma Mitchell (Aaron Fox), and Jackson Mitchell (Jordyn Hopkins), and four great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held at Cornersville Funeral Home 310 North Main St., Cornersville, TN 37047 on Friday, August 22nd, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 22nd, 2025, at 4:00 pm from the Chapel of chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Hope Cemetery in Ostella.
