Henry Alton Sorrow (Alton) was born on 7/31/1945 in Macon Georgia to Henry and Eula Sorrow. Alton had one sibling, Olin Sorrow, who passed away when Alton was a teenager. Alton moved to Tampa Florida with his mother in the late 1950s where he attended Hillsborough High School Class of 1963. In Alton‘s Senior year he excelled on the football field and earned the esteemed award of being an all-city football player. After high school Alton served in the US Army and was stationed overseas in Germany for most of his tour from years 1964 - 1968. After his tour in the Army, he earned a college degree from the University of South Florida, in Tampa Florida. On August 20, 1971 Alton married Twila Wells and they were married for 35 years until her passing on January 4, 2006. In October of 1981, Alton, Twila, and their four children, relocated to the West Palm Beach area and he resided there until his wife passed in 2006 and he has lived in Pulaski TN since. Prior to his retirement in the early 2000s Alton had a successful career as an independent insurance agent. Alton‘s favorite hobbies/activities included watching college football, listening to music, going to the gym, walking/hiking, and watching Fox News.
Alton leaves behind a significant legacy of three sons Andrew (Rachel) Sorrow, Daniel(Kristie) Sorrow, and Steve (Karen) Sorrow, and one daughter Autumn Sprrow, five grandsons and one granddaughter.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
