Joyce Faye Lackey, age 79 of Pulaski, passed away Tuesday January 6, 2026 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Joyce was born in Lester, AL on June 28, 1946 to Bob Mason and Rose Magalene Musgrove Shoemaker. She was a cook at the Pulaski Veterans Home who had a love of taking care of people, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joyce also found joy in the simple things in life like getting in the vehicle and just riding around enjoying the outside world.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents Bob and Magalene Shoemaker; brother Rickey Shoemaker; granddaughter Kayla Yearta.
Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Monday January 12, 2026 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with the Funeral Service following at 2pm.
Interment will be in Giles Memory Gardens.
Joyce is survived by her sons Wayne and Bobby Fusion both of Pulaski; daughters Junita Taylor of Indiana, Margie Yearta (Tim) of Goodspring; sister Barbar Wolfe (Paul) of Indiana; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephew, relatives, and friends.
