
Katherine W. “Kitty” Brewer of Pulaski passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at NHC Pulaski. She was born in Dallas, Texas on May 18, 1931, and was 94 years old.
Kitty was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She dedicated her career to education, retiring from the Giles County Board of Education. A woman of strong faith, she was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as church historian, participated in the Gleaners Sunday School class, and shared her musical talents as organist for over 30 years. She served as a member and past president of the Pulaski Garden Club. She was also a lifetime member of the Tennessee Federation of Garden Clubs and the Giles County Historical Society.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 11:00am at First Baptist Church in Pulaski, TN.
The burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church Senior Adults of Pulaski, 407 South First Street, Pulaski, TN 38478.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles Richard (Red) Brewer Sr., parents, Charles and Lucille Williams, and son-in-law, Tim Bates.

Granddaughter, Kaylea Brewer (Tyler) Fields of Hixson, TN
Grandson, John Brewer of Vero Beach, FL
Grandson, Ben (Ashlee) Bates of Pulaski
Great-grandchildren, Samantha Fields, Bonnie and Annie Bates.
Several family and friends also survive.
