Leona Barnes Cummins

Leona Barnes Cummins of Pulaski, TN passed away on Saturday, September 19 th , 2026 at home
surrounded by her family. She was born in Columbia, TN on August 16, 1938 and was 88 years old.
Leona was a member of Fiducia Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Giles County. She enjoyed reading
and liked attending Southern Gospel Music concerts and collecting all kinds of movies. Leona was an
avid Atlanta Braves fan and loved supporting them. She was loved greatly and will be missed.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26 th , 2026 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Bennett-May &
Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and
Crematory.
Burial will take place at Polk Memorial Garden.
Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Arlan Cummins, parents, James Albert and Clara Rader
Barnes, sisters, Wynona Doggett, Irene Hendley, Marie Lee, Lillian Frazier, and Anna Ruth Priest, niece,
Janice McKennon, nephews, Randall Hendley, Ricky Hendley, and Larry Hendley.
She is survived by,

Sister-in-law, Fay Gowan of Pulaski, TN
