Richard Lee "Ricky" Travis

Richard Lee “Ricky” Travis of Goodspring, TN passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems Pulaski.  He was born in Alabama on March 17, 1962, and was 63 years old. Ricky was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was an avid outdoorsman whom enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Ricky loved all animals.  He was a member of The Southeastern Search Dogs Group.  Richard enjoyed his retirement after 38 years working at Frito-Lay.  Above all, he loved his family and spending time with them.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.

The funeral service take place on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.

The burial will take place at Elkton Cemetery. 

Richard was preceded by, his parents, William and Katie Travis, brother, Harold Wayne Travis, sister, Jamie Defoe, and son, Jason Davis.
