Shirley Martin of Prospect was born to the late Jimmie Lee Martin and George Martin on September 15, 1962. She was called to her Heavenly home on September 28th 2025 the year of our Lord. Shirley loved life and always looked for the good in it. Shirley rededicated her life to Jesus Christ at Willow Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Prospect, TN under the pastorate of Pastor Robert Chatman.
Shirley leaves behind four sisters Lena (Ollie) McWilliams, Lisa (Phillip) Reynolds, Brenda Abernathy, Jenese (Rodney) Brown and one brother Elvis L. Marsh. She is also blessed to have one Aunt Alice Faye (Marvin) Small of Pulaski who comforted her through her journey. Also, her long-time companion Clinton Kimbrough. She will be missed by her friends, family, cousins, and anyone else who had the fortune of meeting her.
Graveside service for Shirley Martin will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 11:00am in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 500 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Prospect, TN.
