Mr. Stephen Everton Jones, 70, of Lynnville died Aug 5 at Maury Regional Medical
Center.
Stephen was born in Black River, Jamaica, on March 23, 1956. Stephen developed a lifelong
passion for beekeeping and raising homing pigeons. Working alongside his father, he mastered
construction and carpentry. He built a career throughout Middle Tennessee spanning over thirty
years. In 1979, he met the love of his life, Linda Ann Cornelius. They married in 1981, were
blessed with five sons, and together nurtured a Christian home in Lynnville. Above all, he was a
devoted leader in the Seventh-day Adventist Reform Movement, where he lived out his faith
through kind acts, encouragement, and service. The life he led was a true testament to hard
work, family, his Jamaican heritage, and faith.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 16, from 12-1 p.m. at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home
and Crematory. Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Maplewood.
