
Thomas Calvin "Tom" Wallace
July 16, 1941 – August 6, 2025
Thomas Calvin “Tom” Wallace, age 84, of Pulaski, Tennessee, passed away on August 6, 2025, at
Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Pulaski. Born on July 16, 1941, in Ozark, Alabama, Tom
lived a life marked by service, generosity, and devotion to family and faith.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Shirley Harris Wallace. Also, his parents,
Tulyer (Tip) and Gladys Wallace, and his brother, Terry Wallace, all of Ozark AL.
Tom was an Army Veteran and a long-time real estate investor. Tom began his working years at Elmore
Variety Store, and later was the owner of Tips Variety Store on the square in Pulaski. He retired from the
United States Postal Service in Pulaski, where he served the community with reliability and care.
He was a devoted and active member of First Baptist Church in Pulaski, where he formed lifelong
friendships and found great purpose in giving back. Tom had a heart for helping others and was always
willing to lend a hand. Tom spent 19 years providing full time dedicated and loving home care for his wife.
In his later years, he enjoyed spending time with Ms. Barbara Brown, whom he lovingly called the second love of his life.
Tom is survived by his son, Kyle Wallace (Tracy), and his daughter, Karen Sorrow (Steve). He leaves
behind his grandchildren: Kristen Abernathy (Josh), Chandler Wallace (Taylor), Kate Rohling (Cade), and
Bryson Phillips (Makayla Stanford).
He was the proud and loving great-grandfather of Aubrey, Jayden, Laila, Jackson, and Hudson Abernathy, Leslie Grace and Hazel Phillips, Harris and Emmaline Rohling, Ellison and baby Calvin Wallace.
He is also survived by his sister, Glenda Kraeger (Andy) of Ozark. And several beloved nieces and
nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 1:00-4:00 at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral
Home and Crematory. Funeral services will take place on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 11:00am at the same location. The interment will follow in Giles Memory Gardens.
