William Jackson “Jack” Jones, affectionately known as Jack, was born on April 26, 1959, and peacefully departed this life on February 8, 2026, at Maury Regional Hospital. Jack attended Stratford High School in Nashville, Tennessee. From an early age, he developed a love for the outdoors and simple pleasures in life. He found great joy in fishing at his favorite spots, spending time hunting, and sharing laughs with family and friends at the bowling alley. Those who knew Jack will remember his easygoing spirit, his warm smile, and the way he could make others feel at home in his presence. Jack was a member of Bodenham Baptist Church, where he found comfort in his faith and relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He worked diligently throughout his life and retired from Magotteaux, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
The visitation will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
The Funeral Service will follow at 12:00pm in the chapel.
The Burial will take place at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Carolyn Maxwell Jones and John O. Jones; his brothers, John O. Jones, Jr. and Coy Jones.
Jack leaves to cherish his memory his devoted son, Tra (Onasis) Jones; his beloved grandchildren, Kashton and Zy’aire Jones, who brought immense pride and joy to his life; his brothers, Buford (Liz) Jones, Larry Jones, Michael Jones, and Benjamin Jones; his sisters, Jannette (Frank) Collier, Ruby Jones, and Annie Ruth Blair; God-siblings, Dennis and Marilyn Maxwell; his lifelong friend, Lolita Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Jack’s legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will forever remain a blessing to those privileged to have shared in his life.
