William T "Bill" Young

    William T (Bill) Young was born on March 31, 1942 in Pulaski, TN and passed from this life on September 9, 2025 at his home on Friendship Acres Farm with his loving family by his side. He enjoyed a full life and early retirement from IBM after which he returned to his roots in Giles County where he grew up. He developed a successful farming operation raising registered black Angus cattle. 

    Bill was part of numerous volunteer organizations such as youth baseball (Marietta, GA), Giles County Cattleman Association, Governor appointment to Tennessee State Public Livestock Board, Civilian Club, and support for the development of Exit 14. 

    Bill was predeceased by his parents, George N. and Olivene Winford Young, his brother Rade Winford Young, and his sister, Carolyn Young Petty.  

    He is survived by his wife, Deborah P. (Debbie) Young, his daughter, Maudessa Y. Faulkner of Pulaski, his sons, Jason T Young (Darcy) of Knoxville and Chadwick M. Young (Karen) of Nashville, seven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
    The funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Friday, September 12, 2025 in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
    The burial will be in the Beech Hill Cemetery.
