Frances Lavonne Harris, age 71, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away
peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 18 th , 2026. Lavonne was born on
June 26 th , 1954 to the late Mariel Cook and Bulah Davis Cook in Wayne
County, TN. Lavonne worked for many years at Dura Manufacturing, before
returning to her home as a homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed
quilting and sewing, fishing, traveling, and spending time with her loving
family and friends. She was a member of Upper Green River Baptist
Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers,
William Wilkie Cook, Marshall Cook, Carlie Cook, Allen Cook; sisters,
Mabel Cook and Wilton Glenn; father-in-law, Gale Harris Sr.; mother-in-law,
Joyce Harris, and her sister-in-law, Cerena Daily.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dwain Harris Jr.; sister, Ellen
Moody; sister-in-laws, Patsy Cook, Janice Cook, Debbie Clifton (Larry),
Retha Harris, and Linda Homan; nephews, Mark Cook, Richard Cook,
Bobby Moody, Macon Carroll, and Tanner Daily; nieces, Stephanie Lacey,
Candice Bass, Tracy Gilmore, Brittny Wells, and Alysha Daily; several great
nieces and nephews; beloved feline companions.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Monday, June
22, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to ladies of Gentiva
Hospice, with a special thanks to her caregivers, Jan Pigg, Tina Bell, Joyce
Staggs, and Tristyn Pantoja.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of
your choice or the Alzheimer's Association.
Interment will be held at Unity Cemetery following the funeral service.
