Gloria Ann Smith Burkeen Duke, age 73, transitioned Sat., Sept. 19, 2026 at Williamson Medical Center, Franklin, TN The family will receive friends between 11 am and 12 NOON on Thursday Sept 24 at Mt Lebanon MBC Columbia TN. At 12 NOON , The Celebration Of Life Service begins with Pastor Kenny L Anderson, Sr., Eulogist. The Committal Service and Burial will occur at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens BEFORE 3 PM The Repast will be at Mt Calvary MBC ANNEX NOTICE: Floral Deliveries will be received at Mt Lebanon Church beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Hutchinson Smith; her father, John Henry Smith; her son, Sidney Burkeen; her daughter, Tracy Burkeen; her stepson, Jarvis Birdsong; her brother, Joseph Lewis Smith; her grandparents, James and Luxenia Hutchinson and Linnie Mae Smith.

She was a proud 1970 graduate of Columbia Central High School. She was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary M. B. Church, Columbia, TN.

Survivors are: her children, Fredrick Dewayne Burkeen; Rodney Clark Burkeen (Christy); Cindy Burkeen; and Jessica Burkeen Pye (Kelvin); SISTER, Debra Elaine Smith Alexander and husband, Louie, foster brother, William Howard Smith, stepdaughters, Crystal Danyale McKinney and Chasity Matthews (Demond), along with their children; stepson, Waynon Duke; and the Duke family along with a host of other relatives and friends.
